This event’s theme is Gulliver’s Travels and is brought to you by Michael Clark and Bryony McMillan of Oxford, United Kingdom.

Michael and Bryony met playing bridge over 20 years ago and quickly became friends, bonding over a shared love of games and puzzles. Together they run the Oxford branch of Puzzled Pint and have a small side hustle writing puzzle games. When not puzzling, Michael enjoys watching old films and Bryony loves swing dancing and they both enjoy a (bad) game of golf. This is their second Puzzled Pint set, having previously authored the Nobel Prizes set in 2023.

Need a little help?

If you are new to Puzzled Pint or just looking for general help then check out Puzzling Basics for tips on how to tackle these style of puzzles. For some puzzles, the Code Sheet is very helpful.

Hint 1: Start by trying to figure out the order the sailors are standing in by noticing when the same person appears in multiple shots.
Hint 2: This looks like a familiar flag code except that most of the sailors are holding just a single flag. Where must the second flag be if it can’t be seen?
Hint 3: We appear to be looking at the back of the sailors’ heads so need to adjust for that when deciphering the code.
