Location - Orion's Bird Search

  1. Note the birds are twisted.
  2. Can’t figure out what the birds are? They’re pictured alphabetically.
  3. The birds in order are CROW, DOVE, EAGLE, PEACOCK, PHOENIX, SWAN, TOUCAN.
  4. You should be able to a shoot a straight arrow (line) through all of the birds.

Centaurus's Ritual

  1. The numbers represent the sum between adjacent centaurs.
  2. Start in the second ring. Right below the east arm is a 4. Since there are no repeated digits, only two numbers add up to 4. If you try those numbers in the empty circles next to the 4, can you fill in the rest of the circles with the remaining digits 1-8 so that the math works?
  3. Keep in mind that each step, each centaur only moves one spot, meaning that each step won't see huge movements of digits around the ring.
  4. The digits in the first ring are, reading clockwise from the north ring, 5-8-1-3-2-6-4-7.
  5. Once you determine the paths the centaurs make, determine the values of each set of Greek letters, and take their sum.
  6. Convert the sum into a letter using A1Z26.
  7. The resulting cluephrase says "SEMAPHORE." How can we interpret the starts and ends of the centaurs as semaphore letters?
  8. Place one flag each on the starting and ending points of each centaur, then read them from 1 to 8.

Heracles's Labors

  1. Start by solving the clues. The number denotes the number of letters in the clue, and the answers will be alphabetical.
  2. Heracles got one of the words in the story. How did he get HERRING from HEATHER and TEARING?
  3. Break each of Eurystheus’s words into two English words, then recombine the words to make new words that fit in the story.
  4. The missing words are: GOAT, OFFSET, HEATHENS, TEAPOT, LEGEND, ORALLY, ACTION, HERRING
  5. There should be two words remaining after breaking up Eurystheus’s words, combining them, and putting them in the story. Can they combine to make an English word?
